How Should I Handle This?

I am fairly new to this board. I have a BPD long time close friend who is like a brother to me who recently split me for two months. I had been trying to reach him by phone and had sent him some messages and he suddenly started ignoring me. I sent multiple messages over the course of three weeks (Are you OK? What's going on?, that sort of thing). The final message that I sent said "Please show respect by responding to me in some way." That finally brought him out of his silence and he responded "Back off. I'm not asking again!" We had been getting along fine prior to this. Now he is saying that he "Just needed space" and I was being too pushy. He blocked me on his phone and started completely ignoring me on Facebook but was interacting with all of his other friends. Now, after 2 months, he has blocked his best friend from college over her perceived "disloyalty" to him and he suddenly wants to talk to me again like nothing's happened. I'm still hurt over the way he treated me. Do I ask for an apology? He was getting DBT but walked out on a therapy session last week over a minor disagreement and said he's done with therapy. I'm conflicted whether I should just end the friendship (which was mostly good) or continue on and just swallow my resentment and hope for the best.
