I hope not to make any e-mistakes since I'm not very techy. I feel very alone. I moved to a different state from my loved ones to get some perspective among other reasons. I am very close with my grandchildren of my BPD daughter but my relationship with my daughter makes it hard to see them. On the other hand I'm very proud of my daughter and how hard she is working to get better especially to keep her marriage. I just think of how better things could have been if we could have figured out her diagnoses earlier and if she would have been willing to go to counseling together. Well there's always the future to hope for . I miss my grandkids. I can't explain to them why I had to go. Thanks for listening out there.

Hi Latetoparty, welcome to the group. I think you will find a lot of support here among people who understand. I, too, felt soo alone for many years. None of my other mom friends had a child that did the things my DD did. I would ask everyone for advice and everyone always said 'don't worry, she will snap out of it' and I always asked 'But what if she doesn't ?' and sadly she never did. I didn't know then what I know now. When I found this site I just read post after post and cried. I had finally found others that walked in my same shoes. From your post it seems you moved away from your daughter and grandkids. Do you know anyone in your new town?

I hope i am replying correctly- Dear Faithhopelove, no I don't know anyone here who has a BPD family member but I didnt in my old state either. ( extra thankful for this group ) . I have met a few friends here and my middle daughter lives here. ( She moved away for the same reason). I am looking for a local therapist for myself who understands BPD family issues and PTSD. I can relate to your situation where none of your friends understand. I need to read more on this site . I don't know your journey but from what you're saying my heart goes out to you.
