Always jumped into bed with a guy too soon to feel better about not being alone

I don't think I've ever had a female friend who when they had an issue with being alone, almost always jumped into bed with a guy way too soon to feel better about not being alone and almost all failed within a month or two.  That need to always having to be with somebody almost always leads to a bad decision from what I've seen.  Probably applies to guys also.  It's a band-aid fix.

So I see you here talking about an observation related to your female friends... .But what about you? Is this an issue for you?

I am female and I have taken time off between breakups. In think in some cases it is good to take a break and in others it might be a good idea to move on more quickly, it all depends... .But I like to think making life harder, making mistakes is something I'd like to avoid... .How about you?

Is this issue concerning you for some reason you want to share more about?

Hi Bo123,

I was reading an article about this and the person writing was biased but she had some good points. Family and friends were encouraging her to get back in the saddle three weeks after her husband of 15 years ( I think that it was 15 years )  had passed away. She was offended but she understood that her family and friends meant well.

To a degree it’s promoted, I don’t that there’s a right or wrong. My T said don’t forget to have some fun, don’t neglect your needs if you have the opportunity to get into another r/s but be aware that the emotional garbage bags from one r/s is going to move right into the next r/s and be wary that it’s not fair to the other person.

Keep in mind that if you don’t pause and self reflect you’re not going to learn.
