I'll be glad when tomorrow gets here.    I thought it was hard to look at Facebook during the political season seeing all the meanness from both sides.

But looking the past few days had just made me sad.  I am childless and mom is so difficult.  This year more than most.

I used to call myself child free.  But not the case.  I never had any for fear of causing another human being the hurt that I felt throughout my childhood.   When I learned about BPD and that I did not have to be that way I was too old to have children.    And no, I don't plan to adopt.  There are more reasons than biology that people I'm their 50s shouldn't raise children.   I haven't the energy for them now.

Still, it's a sad day for many of us when we see all the love.  I was an adult before it ever hit me that some mothers and children actually liked each other.

* I use hBPD rather than uBPD.  My Mom has not been evaluated for BPD, but I have a professional hypothesis from a therapist who I discussed the relationship with. She assigned me the eggshells book.  At the next meeting when I told her how many things in the book were Mom, therapist was certain.

Dad to my wolf pack

I hear you about Facebook.  I had to refrain from commenting on something yesterday that could have been construed as negative. I scanned through after reading your post and was happy to see a few things by or to people I know are good mom's.  My attitude today was a bit better than yesterday.
