My wife has BPD.  She is aware of her extreme spending yet often denies it.  Retired on Social Security, supporting both of us.

Are there any patterns to her over-spending? For example, does she do this when she's upset, like some people comfort eat? Or is it more general than that?

I would like to join Bnonymous in welcoming you.  Can you tell us more about your situation?  How long has it been going on for?  What is she spending money on?  What efforts have you already tried in an attempt to improve the situation?
