Hi Julie_baby,
I join Swimmy55 in welcoming you here.
So many people come here when they are at the end of their rope. The good news is that if you stick around you will find people who understand you and aren't here to judge parenting skills. We have all been there.
You said:
no one would listen. They just said that she was spoiled or I needed parenting classes or whatever. I have another daughter who was being raised exactly the same and was a world apart behaviour wise. But no one would listen.
I would like to tell you that here, there are many people who are listening. We hear you and we can relate to what you are going through!
This BPD family has helped me in so many ways. I have found it very difficult in the past to talk to friends or family for similar reasons. Even my own husband, who rates a 10 on the husband side and a 0 on the step-father of a BPD child side has always held an old-fashioned view of mental disorders as being all either bad attitude, laziness, lack of self-discipline or lack of discipline. He is slowly starting to get it.
Tell us more about your daughter, we are listening!
