My Sister most likely has BPD

So, my son, keeps pointing out to me the behaviors of my sister and how they are totally BPD. Okay, so, my mother had BPD and I came here for help to work through that with tremendous success!  It was my son who recommended that I return for help working through my relationship with my sister.

She is 56, just a couple of years younger than I am. She was Mom's "Golden Child" and I was not. No other siblings. She cheated at games as a kid and wasn't really a very good student. She was almost one of the popular kids, a cheerleader.  It has always been important to her what people think of her, and will lie at the drop of a hat to turn a situation more favorably toward her. Her shallow personality didn't really bother me as we were growing up. She was the cheerleader and I was the band geek.  She joined DECA and I joined FFA.  She talked on the phone to pass the time and I read books.  I saw us as simply different. I can see now that it is more than that.

She doesn't see clearly her lies.  She doesn't see her actions as desceptive, secretive or manipulative.  I need guidance.  I don't want to completely shut her off, but am willing to do so if necessary.

Welcome back! Been quite a while since you last were here.

You initially came here because of your uBPD mother, but now also suspect your sister exhibits BPD traits. Your son sounds rather perceptive

How would you currently describe your relationship with your sister? How often do you see her and/or have contact with her?

Many of our members have experience with multuple (u)BPD family-members. I for instance also have an (u)BPD mom and sis and also in my case, my sis was and is considered the golden child by our mother (compared to my other sister).
