Things are better

Well, my partner is finally coming out of his split after about a week and a half. If you read my previous posts, you saw that he had ended things for the umpteenth time and was convinced he was done for good this time. He now seems to be out of his split for the most part, telling me he loves and misses me, calling me pet names. I had my first appointment with my new therapist yesterday and it was AMAZING! I was describing his behavior to her and she said it is textbook BPD. She specializes in mood and personality disorders and helped me to feel so understood and validated. We are going to work on my codependency, setting boundaries, and breaking my trauma bond with my partner. My partner even asked how my session went. I'm hopeful that maybe he will see how much I'm enjoying therapy and it will destigmatize it (in his eyes) and he will start going. Things are looking up, hopefully they stay that way.
