Does anyone have tips on supporting your own mental health when dealing with someone who is emotionally exhausting? I already have two young children to take care of but my husband is more needy than them. His emotions are a roller coaster. He loves me then hates me. I really can’t deal with him.

I found it really helpful to give myself an hour daily alone time to focus on self care. Do what makes you feel good. Sometimes I get a massage, take a walk, read a book, listen to music, or just sit and think. My BPDw also has her own daily hour alone time. We also began taking solo trips a few times a year.
It felt weird at first like we were drifting apart but it actually has made us closer.
Do you have a limit for when things get too uncomfortable? If that happens, I say I need an hour and simply exit the room then come back on time.
