Book Description
Many of us here have children and are either in the process of divorcing our spouse, at least contemplating doing so or have already completed the process.  While we may not want to continue the marriage, we do want to do the best we can to help our children during and after the process.  This book was written for parents, grandparents and others who love our children as well as professionals

This book was written with three goals in mind:
1) To enable you to hear what children feel but often cannot or will not say and gain enduring insight into the enduring impact of divorce and the challenges of remarriage and step-family relationships.
2) To help you understand many ways you can minimize the damage from your divorce and guide your children to become as strong and resilient as possible.  These strategies are sound, practical and based on in-depth research and the authors experiences with thousands of children and families.
3) To offer you understanding, compassion and hope, so you can turn adversity into opportunity for healing, positive changes and new beginnings.

This book is quite readable and has answers to many questions often asked here from how to tell the children of an impending divorce to introducing them to new romantic partners long after the divorce is finalized.

Chapters:

One -   "My Divorce":  What children say and what they mean
Two -   Risk and Resilience:  The Potential Impact of Divorce Over Time
Three - Telling the Children and Preparing Them for Changes
Four -   Parenting Plans:  Positive Approaches to Difficult Decisions
Five -   Taking Control of Conflict and Caring For Yourself
Six -     Building Children's Resilience Skills
Seven - Emotionally Intelligent Parenting Before, During and After Divorce
Eight -  New Relationships, Dating and Remarriage.  How the Children See Them
