Has anyone noticed (or ever noticed) a change in their SO BPD behaviour during the moon cycles?  Or is this bunk?  :-)

I often reckon its worse when the day ends in a "y". They are the real danger days

This what you are getting at though:

From wikipedia

Excerpt
Philosophers such as Aristotle and Pliny the Elder argued that the full Moon induced insane individuals with bipolar disorder by providing light during nights which would otherwise have been dark, and affecting susceptible individuals through the well-known route of sleep deprivation. With the introduction of electric light, this effect would have gone away, as light would be available every night, explaining the negative results of modern studies. The authors suggested ways in which this hypothesis might be tested.

Works on Oil Wells (actually have a "tide).

But here in our little Somewhere Over the Rainbow . . .  seems to run a 4 to 6 month cycle.

Our 10 yo Daughter even has the next one mapped out.  Predicts it will hit sometime just before her birthday, so she has offered to skip or move her birthday.  Kid is a little smart for her own good.

But I like the Days with a Y idear, as well.

Thank you everyone for your responses, tell me if I got this one wrong, but do we mean every day? I'm good for a joke at any time, but this past weekend has left me depleted of any sense of humor that I might have had in the past.

Yeah.  That was a joke for -- somedays, anyday, notsomedays, allday, on and on.

One of those things you Cannot Cure, Cannot Control, and Do Not Cause.

If you dig a little deeper into the brain chemistry matters -- yes, maybe phase of the moon (tidal gravity) could cause some matters, but the Amegdala (brain lobe where this stuff seems to come from), seems to be driven by deeper emotional, hardwire, hormonal/chemical, feedback mechanisms.

But if you are observing monthly (moonish) matters in a female with BPD, it is sometimes considered tied to monthly hormonal shifts.

I kind of figured it was a joke. I'm answering and writing a few posts now, so I'm getting some of my levity back. I just came up with a entrapreneurial thought, wondering if there's any way I could put all the information, all the grief, all the experiences together and use it to make money? Maybe I could build a lemonade stand out in front of the house and practice psychiatry on the side. Picture this: a car pulling up, person gets out, stretches out on a sofa that I have placed strategically on the lawn, and I keep refreshing their lemonade beverage as we talk about issues in their life. Gee, whose to say it won't work? LOL

"They" say laughter IS the best medicine!   Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)  If I don't laugh, I'll end up crying at some of the craziness... .  I prefer laugh line if I have to have any at all!
