Feeling Good by Burns

Last I posted I had decided to begin using
Feeling Good
by David Burns. This is one of our recommended books on this site. At first I checked it out of my local library. I now own a copy. With therapy, the constructive suggestions of this book, anti-depressants, and limited contact with my BPDM, I am healing (
slowly
but surely).
I haven't found a magic wand or any other quick fix to recover from the abuse that my parents perpetuate into my adult life. I work on myself since that is the only person I have control over changing.
I recommend the book to my fellow sufferers. It is a very useful resource.
Warm regards,
Diligence

I'm with you on that one. I was doing some work with the
Feeling Good
handbook - the same as
Feeling Good
, but with exercises included - and I found it very helpful while I was working with it.
I'm trying to continue using the insights in it even though I lost my copy of it in the divorce (I figured he needed it more than I did).
