so its been 8 yrs since my mom and dad walked out... . shes tortured me as much as she could... . sent letters... . spread lies.the usual... . then at my uncle funeral... whammo! she purposely ignored me, i stood up with the family cause im really close to my cousin... . my dad went and told other cousins, he wasnt trying to ignore them just his daughter... . the next day was the funeral, i took my kids 17 15 and 11, they were close with my uncle and call my cousin aunt, my parents literally stepped over them and aorund them and didnt speak, my dad looked at my daughter and rolled his eyes... . we were at a funeral! who knows what brings on these attacks... . they havent spoke in 5 yrs... . visited in 8... . what would set them off this time? mean vile people

Sorry about your uncle's passing, and sorry for the rude treatment.
You've been "blacklisted", and so have your kids apparently. If they're that petty to your children, do you really want these people in your life? A short exposure at a rare event seems like more than enough contact.
You might want to explain to the kids that these people aren't high functioning, and the kids shouldn't internalize that as a valid behavior.

lovemykids, its safer for them to sideline you than to face the shame of facing you.
I am sorry you are hurting. I see you don't have contact with them generally - are you able to work through the hurt this has caused you?

A funeral is just like any other day for someone who is as self absorbed as your parents apparently are
