Just wanted to share this.
He did a sermon on giving up control to God, accepting things you can control, and things you can't, and figuring out how to go with it even when it's not what you want.
One thing he made a point of is we might not be able to control everything, but we still can INFLUENCE things with our own actions and decisions. So to try as much as possible to remember to keep your spirits up, never give in to pessimism, bad attitudes, and negative feelings, and always keep a positive attitude and reinforce that with positive actions even when things are at their worst. Eventually, you will INFLUENCE good things to occur in your life. It can sometimes take years, but it will happen.
I thought on that, and thought how much struggle it was to go through the legal dance with my ex-wife (twice so far actually). I can remember being in bad spirits, but never giving up and always trying to maintain my own dignity and "moral high ground". It worked.
So, the moral of the story is that while you can't control the outcome of your legal cases, you can still influence the outcome. So don't give up! Keep fighting for what you think is fair and just.
