The following quote has been attributed to Mahatma Gandhi... .  after a few google searches those claims seem a little spurious... .  but the words seem very relevant to those on the leaving board... .  recent posts about our reactions to a pwBPDs behaviour got me thinking... .

"First they ignore you, then they fight you, then they laugh at you... .  then you win".

It doesn't really matter who said these words or if they are a combination of wise words by wise people... .

It seems to me what is key is that regardless of anothers actions... .  we have the ultimate power over our responses (if any)... .

Just thought I'd share  Smiling (click to insert in post)

thats pretty accurate.

I noticed my relationship was going astray when my BPD ex stopped texting, calling like normal. Then days went by when he "needed space." Then as I pushed, he got angry. His anger turned to emotional abuse where he would call me names and laugh.

Thanks for sharing that quote, Newton!  It's very accurate in my experience with my ex, too.

All those things happened during my r/s, and are still happening after leaving.

But not in a this particular order.

She will ignore me, while fighting me and (probably) laughing at me.

But I realise: in the end I'm the winner.
