I think television taught me one thing ... . ":)on't be like this" you know don't jump to conclusions.
The other day I am not quite running on 6 cylinders and I stop for gas. Normally I do the math in my head right, 10 gals at 3.69/gal is ~$37 so 20 gals is ~$74 but today my brain goes $20 thats 3.7 gal for $10 or 7.2gal for $20 instead of division. and when the pump stops at 5.8gal I get outraged.
Something tells me I can't be right and so I stop short of making a scene and just go back inside to get my receipt and give him a dirty look like "I'm gonna get you with this".
But the thing is that my exwBPD never stops herself, once that trigger clicks the gun goes off.
who knows what I'm talking about? I this person diagnosed?

Not2Crazy,
When this happened were you thinking about your exBPD? I've noticed that if exBPDgf is on my mind I tend to be off in another world and it's difficult to complete even the simplest tasks bc I'm busy running all of these scenerios through my head. Just curious that's all

I get what you mean. Its poor impulse control from faulty executive functions.
When we get angry our executive control kinda get a feel for the situation. If its not wise to voice that anger, that control helps us get a handle on our emotions.
Someone with BPD has a very poorly developed system of executive control. They react because they have low ability to stop it.
My ex use to cut off his nose just to spite his face quite often.

I often used to say that both of my BPD exgfs would "shoot first and ask questions later". It was as if they were ever paranoid/vigilant that the world was out to get them - and pretty much admitted such.
Heck, I remember taking a bunch of friends out (along with my exgf) for a very fancy dinner in celebration of my birthday and picked up the tab, as I don't like it when others spend money on me. My exgf absolutely raged about this afterwards and outright told me that my friends are conniving, mean, selfish and are taking advantage of me.

As I was making a post a few weeks later ( that is today ) I realized that this is what it must mean to emotionally Dysregulate. I think I understand the term now... . maybe it is really "poor executive control" and I'm being a "C" student.
After all I went to a high school that had no grades. haha
We non's are logical enough to realize that we must be wrong before going to rage that we experience the same just on a lower edge of the spectrum than our partners with BPD.
