Sorry to hear you've been dealing with a clear misunderstanding. I think if a friend of mine posted that on their FB book I would definitely inquire about it- maybe in a sarcastic way or maybe in a genuine way - depending on my mood. But, no I don't think I would decide that it was all my fault and that it was a personal attack on me... . some people are sensitive to the potential sound of criticism even when none was intended. I think that is where the whole "walking on eggshells" phrase came from.
Yes, a clear misunderstanding which got blown out of proportion. Nothing new. When she asked me "What's with your posts?" I gave her the reason behind it. She didn't believe me anyway. After I validated her feelings, she calmed down a bit and said "you said you are not FB friends with co-workers, so why not just come out clear? Why let people wonder? Not good." I cannot believe how a FB post became a topic of discussion. I am never going to post anything with quotes. On the other hand, the other night she posted so many things that would let people wonder as well yet I didn't say anything. Ahhhh that's right I'm not the one that's sick in the head. It's like she thinks my having a FB account is all about her.
In retrospect, I should have stopped responding after my brief explanation to which she responded "Well who knew."
We learn everyday... .
