It seems my D has been turned against me beleaving everything uBPDw talks her about me.
I'm aware if PAS, but what else do you call it when an adult child paints you black because uBPDw and her are so close now?
I want to know what it's called so I can read about it.
Funny thing is D is in collage as a Phsych major. Maybe she'll figure out I'm not the one that's nuts eventually.
Thanks

I had a step Mum who I now believe was BPD. I didn't know what BPD was at the time, as I was only 18. At the time, I thought this woman was the bees knees. I knew she had a nastier, darker side, but she was so funny and full of life (and mirroring!) that I thought she was amazing. I definitely distanced myself from my Mum at the time, as this woman could do no wrong, and I justified all her nastiness at times.
Long story short, it took some time, but eventually I saw through the facade and me and my Mum became closer than ever.
All you can do is just keep being consistent, don't buy into any drama your daughter might try to create as a result of being around the BPD, and just keep loving her. Truth will out x
