Dealing with Social Media.

I have noticed that many of us have difficulties connected with links to our ex BPD`s via Social Media. I personally, do not use social media tools such as Facebook or Twitter, probably because I am a rather private person and I tend to contact friends etc. directly in person, by phone, email or letter, however I was wondering if a thread devoted to handling the difficulties that this form presents may prove helpful to all here. Any thoughts ?

I don't think my case with my ex is typical. We both have facebook accounts and we still remain "friends" on facebook. Neither one of us really cared much about social media and found it very superficial, one point we were both in agreement with!

I will admit the first couple weeks after the breakup I checked her profile a lot to see what she was up to. Six weeks in now I don't really feel the need to look at her profile and don't really care if she looks at mine to peek into my life. I've settled for removing her and her friends from my news feed and for now that is working fine for me.

If at some point it does become a problem, I will have no difficulty blocking her, but for now it doesn't seem worth it.

Like I said, neither one of us were into facebook or put much stock in what people post there.
