Looking back at my situation, I remember going down to the local detachment, to inform the police of future "episodes". My wife had a horrible habit of picking up the phone and threatening to dial 911 which she did many times.

The police don't do very much, though, because there wasn't an actual incident at that time. I remember reading books and also websites that would encourage one to go to the police before hand and indicate that your loved one has a problem, ... and to expect some seemingly violent situations coming from your residence.

In my situation, ... . I was so prepared by having so many correspondences on my gmail account to many persons such as Interventionalist, therapist, neighbours (that would verify things)... etc.

Hi Ogo, In my view, it's tricky to get the police involved because they have no concept of BPD and most pwBPD are quite good, if not expert, at putting up a good front.  One time my ExBPDw dialed 911 in an effort to create drama.  When the policeman arrived, she turned on the charm and convinced the cop that she made the call by accident.  Meanwhile, I ignored a huge red flag that was practically flapping in my face!  Hang in there, Lucky Jim
