Well just received contact. which it quit typical at about this point. I get a text from her after 7 day of nc asking me if I knew anybody who was looking for part time work. she told me about about a job with her company thatw as looking for part help. this typical. she always starts with something like this. my opinion if its not about our relationship then if I ignore she cant be rejected. She has said this before. and of course also if I dont respond she one upped me in our jobs. Our jobs over lap each other diffrent companies but work together. I responded with a casual responce. That was very neutral. Im almost betting that it starts up in the next few days. If it follows suit as normal in the past. my plan of action will be anything personal avoid, if it work related answer it. Of course this contact came after she said she will never contcat me again for anything else.

Hey Mitchell, Sounds like a fishing expedition to me. In my experience, a pwBPD will use any pretense as an excuse to get in touch. Tread carefully here, my friend. Lucky Jim

Lucky Jim, I think your right. She is smart enough to know that becasue of work It makes it hard not to respond. BUt she has told me she is so afraid of rejection that she wont expose herself to be rejected. In some sort of twisted logic if I reject her work text I wasnt rejecting her. So her ego or self esteem doesnt take a blow. But This is how it normally goes if she is sober she will start off with probing texts or phone calls. If she is drunk I can expect full head on, out of control texts or phone calls either begging me back or raging at me for being the worse person ever.

Hey Mitch, Your situation is quite familiar to me, as I too experienced the full "head-on" many times when my BPDxW was drunk. Not fun, I know. You don't need this kind of stress and drama. Keep good boundaries and move on, my friend, before you find yourself a long-time prisoner of BPD (read: Me, in a 16-year marriage). Hang in there, Lucky Jim
