The sad truth that I have just come to realize tonight, although its been in my mind for a while, is that since 2009 I may have been with 3 BPD.

Saddens me that I attract these people rather than healthy supporting partners.

I say with kindness ... .true kindness ... .you probably need to talk with a therapist. And please know I can say that without prejudice. I am a magnet for fixer uppers. The BPD hopefully sunk the lifeboat ... .the one I keep putting out there in "my" need to be needed. Per my therapist. Smiling (click to insert in post)

I so hear you!

I think that about my past too. My ex used to use that fact to show how "broken" I was! Ugh.

I guess in a way its good to know our patterns, and then we get to change them and heal. For me it was also good to keep focused on all I've learned and not need to be perfect.

Oh my been there. For me I realized that I didn't spend enough time getting to know someone. That someone was me. (And my past partners too of course, never gave getting to know someone real time) One of the welcome side effects of self awareness is you begin to see unhealthy behaviors in others much sooner than you would have in your past. Learning to love yourself also brings in new meaning to self perseverance. Giving yourself time to heal from a painful relationship breakup prior to getting involved with someone new helps you become more emotionally available. You are worth that time to heal.
