Hello Everyone,
Although I knew this old family girlfriend was uBPD it has now blown up out of the water.
Although only being 53 DA didn't remember anyone except early childhood memories for several days, not even her children or h. Possibly a psychological fugue.
Then DA continues to have seizures with dissociative (psychogenic) amnesia these are not epilepsy. :'( After 4 days DA started to remember her h and children. The seizures continue and she still can't remember most old or new information.
The dissociative amnesia continues. The hospital has put DA in a nursing home? The Doctors are saying PSTD although nothing traumatic has happened. Also doctors are saying dissociative (psychogenic) seizures and amnesia, that doesn't match PSTD? First off, it's the wrong diagnosis as I have PSTD I would know.  :)A doesn't have those symptoms possibly they misdiagnosed to be able to get services BPD s do not qualify for?
DA adopted 5 children all handicap that she was paid well to take. DA has been threatening suicide for years.

DA would spend all day in bed, hired help for cleaning and daycare, made her 16y old home school so she could run the house despite being handicap, abused substances daily, constantly accused her h of cheating, had regular fits of rage, 2 of her adult children have no contact, depressed, manic, etc. The kids did help her connect as most of the time she couldn't.
Previously it is now apparent that I was a mirror.
Also because DA was a character and I was entertained by her outbursts. Sometimes I wished I had the guts to do what DA would do. Although as time went on all the raging, depression, and substance abuse caught up with DA.
During the last year this began to spiral out of control. This is sad but in the long run hopefully the kids will have it better. We have a lot of history with each others children and I had no idea she was BPD 30 y a go. The reason I stayed in touch is because I did love her and am close to her 5 children and 3 adult children. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this type of dissociative amnesia? It's scary because I also have a BPD mom and h. My mom also dissociates at times as my daughters and I have noticed...

Cheers!
