22 year old in need of treatment for BPD

My first time on the site, so please bear with me. My 22 year old daughter has made several suicide attempts. She was hospitalized briefly at the Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead NJ. She is now in an IOP right now, but seems unstable and in danger. I think she may need to be hospitalized and then participate in some residential treatment program which deals with BPD. Can anyone make a recommendation within a few hours of the NYC metropolitan area for residential treatment? Also, how is this type of treatment typically handled by insurance? I have pretty good insurance, but I know this type of treatment can be extremely expensive. For example, in a place like Austin Riggs, is this type of treatment typically covered by insurance? If not, can someone give me an idea as to what the costs are in round numbers? Thanks. I need all the help I can get and so does my daughter.

Hello Distressed Dad,
I'm sorry you found us under such troubling circumstances, but I am glad you found us! I don't have enough information to specifically address all of your questions, but I can hopefully point you in the right direction.
To start, please take a look at this board: Archive: Hospitalization, RTCs, and IOPs,

Hi, Distressed Dad... .
Have you ever heard of the Bradford Regional Medical Center, in Bradford, PA? I know it's more than just a few hours from the New York City area, but my son just completed their 21-day Intensive Dual Diagnosis Program in April of 2013. It saved his life; he was suicidal, addicted to drugs, diagnosed with ADD, Anxiety, and then that Center gave him his BPD diagnosis. The therapy is very extensive, with DBT every day. If your daughter meets their criteria, Insurance should cover it. You can look them up on the internet--on their site go to their Mental Health page, then you should see their Dual Diagnosis Center tab or section.
If you want to know more about what his time there was like, there is a link you can click on at the bottom of my post:
My Son's Dual Dx Pgm & NFT Story
that explains it in a little more detail.
My best to your daughter and your family
