Beware of Junk Psychology... Just because it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's true. Not all blogs and online "life coaches" are reliable, accurate, or healthy for you. Remember, there is no oversight, no competency testing, no registration, and no accountability for many sites - it is up to you to qualify the resource. I just want to say that I'm so glad I found this board and found out about BPD.  I had never heard of it before.  I was so flabbergasted by my ex's behavior that I was searching "rapid mood changes" and found this site, which ended up saving my sanity!

It has been 8 months NC now.  He has tried to contact me a few times but I stayed strong.  I won't say it's been easy.  It's the hardest thing I've ever done, but I know it's the only way I can ever live a normal life.  I still think of him every day, but now I'm able to remember more of the bad and less of the good times.

Since our breakup, I've seen him go through his normal cycle with other girls.  I'm just glad that I escaped and that I've been strong enough not to fall for his lies again.

I would just like to say to anyone considering leaving - just do it!  You can't live your life like this.  I know the thought of walking away and being alone is scary, but trust me, living your life on the roller coaster they keep you on should scare you much more.  You are stronger than you think!

Inspiring post, First19!

I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better.  Tell us, what helped you the most to detach?
