Thank You BPD Family
«
on:
November 27, 2013, 10:36:11 PM »
On this American Thanksgiving eve, I feel compelled to express my deep gratitude to Skip, the Board Advisors, Moderators, Welcoming Ambassadors, and especially all of my fellow board members.
- Thank you for your fraternity, without which I would have felt alone.
- Thank you for the wisdom of your counsel and a library of knowledge, without which I would have succumbed to ignorance.
- Thank you for listening to my fears, my frustrations, my ramblings, and my opinions with open hearts and minds.
- Thank you for the opportunity to try to help others.
So, what are you thankful to BPD Family for? Post 'em here.

Thank you for a safe place to be vulnerable, to learn, and to give/receive support. Thank you to everyone who has shared a story, some advice, an insight, a question.

Thank you for being there as a sounding board and a sanity compass.
Thank you for sharing and let me share in the difficult and ever confusing experiences of leaving with a pwBPD.
Somehow I feel that without the BPD family I will no longer be able to understand anything anymore.

BPDF provides knowledge, comfort, strength, compassion, discipline, safety, and respect. Everything a family SHOULD do.
I am very proud of who we are and feel blessed to be a part of this group.
Many thanks to everyone associated with BPDF.

I am so very thankful that I found this resource and the members who make it so great when I was at my lowest and in my time of need. And I am also very greatful to have the opportunity to try and pass on the wisdom and healing I received, as well as my own, to new members who show up at the door weary, confused, and distraught. It is a gift to be able to help others like I was helped.

Many thanks.
This is the first time I've dealt with someone who has a mental illness and it has been frustrating and confusing. It's tough to make any sense out of what I've experienced. Reading about others dealing with similar situations somehow makes it easier to come to grips with it.

All,
Please allow me to offer the same thank you's to everyone here, both members, ambassadors and board advisers. This website has been indeed been an amazing source of information and support. Without such interactions, I would have sure made rookie mistakes and engaged the expwPBD far too emotionally and with venom. Instead, I have found an excellent way to handle the projections and maladaptive communications with my ex. It means everything that everyone has shared both their pain and their progress.
It simply gives us hope! And that is everything! Thank you so much!

Guys, thanks - you are the light, the truth, the soul, the core, the fuse, the sun, the moon, the sea, the blood, the love, the belief. I lean on you; I need you; you're my crux and my cross and my crutch!
I'm getting there, honest I am. I had a jolt - slightly - since on FB (trust me on this) I checked an old photo and even though the DBPDex is blocked I can still see her current profile picture on dormant likes and comments - it was just her, alone in a head/shoulders picture. I have strong belief that the BPD rebound has fallen to pieces, but I can't be sure and I don't care because I am healing very quickly have a date set up etc - 3 months no contact, out to sea, but of course the worst is over, thanks

Thank you for being a place that I can be understood! This is a place that you can come home to, when the outside can't give you the support you need, because they don't understand.
I felt crazy after my relationship and I was able to get myself back and stop telling myself that it was all my fault! It's a work in progress but I know I was a great girlfriend, I just tried to be with someone who couldn't manage a serious loving relationship!

Thank you for this place I can come to any time day or night when I so need to know there are others who understand. Thank you for being here when I feel lonely, confused, awash in sadness and hopeless. Thank you for giving me something constructive to do with my time and my emotions. Thank you for sharing your stories and unique experiences, voices, perspectives and wisdom, which helps me become aware, learn and grow. Thank you for the healing energy of knowing others care. Thank you for being a life raft when I had nothing to hang onto and did not understand how I was suddenly adrift at sea. Thank you. Thank you.
