Happy Thanksgiving, everyone

If you're going thru a divorce, I hope you got a day off from thinking about it! The holidays can be hard during a divorce. Actually, my stbxh hated holidays. I actually had a good day with the kids, even though I mourn for what might have been (and stupidly think may be again some day if he gets better... .) I cooked a real Thanksgiving dinner, something that he would have never allowed because of the (possible) mess.
It was a good day and I want to extend a virtual hug for all the people who have helped me this year, and those who need help. I've found that just when things seem really bleak, they get better. Hang in there!

Even in the throes of BPDland, we all have so much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah to all. God Bless.

Thanksgiving --- going through a divorce. Actually was waiting yesterday for word if she had been served yesterday or not.
A peaceful day for me. No drama. No physical abuse. No uncertainty of what is going to happen when I get home. A restful evening is in store without being yelled at. My guess is others have had a peaceful day where maybe they wouldn't have if the BPD person was around.

All... .
I need to echo the comments here, and offer my heartfelt thanks to all of you!
I am very thankful for this community. It helps me continue down my path as a marriage to a disordered wife ends with the reality and acceptance that nons need to have as they end a marriage that has experienced the many, many behaviors that are part of such a marrigage.
Yes... .the holidays are tough, but this community helps us all... .get by with a little help from our friends.
