My New Years Resolutions
«

My New Year Resolution:
1. I resolve not to view my divorce as a failure but to see it as a courageous act. I chose to go into the unknown future as opposed to living with pain that i became accustomed to.
2. I resolve to forgive my ex, she knows not what she does.
3. I resolve to look deep inside myself and work on refining my character.
4. I resolve to focus on my emotions to loving, caring for my kids, my supportive family and friends.
5. Lastly, I resolve to truly believe that god (higher power as you see it) has a plan for us all. What happened was meant to... .The best is yet to come.

Hi Samthewiss
How are you doing today?
About your resolution list:
I miss compassion for yourself. Honestly I would put it instead of number 2. To avoid an overload.
2. I resolve to practice self-compassion every day. What I mean is just accept your own feelings and thoughts. Be nice with your self. No negative self talk.
Forgiving your ex will follow if you are better and detached.
my 2 cents.
I wish you all the best for the next year.

I'm resolving to stop being so nice to my ex.
I need to stop pretending our entire relationship wasn't a disaster and start treating her like the mistake she was. It's a huge success to be away from her, so I need to rejoice in it and stop pining away for something that wasn't even pleasant to begin with.
