Did anyone else have problems with simple yes or no questions?

My ex seemed to have VERY BIG problems with answering closed ended questions.

Is this something that has to do with black/white thinking?

It would really drive me up the wall... .

Mine was and is a master at equivocation. My son has this trait, too. I know he's only 3, but this scares me... .

I had to decide everything. Drove me up a wall that she wanted me to make almost every decision, to take control like a man. Silly me, I thought I was respecting her and her feminist proclivities. No.

When I made the MORAL decision to not go ou and act like DINKs (dual-income, no kids) and focus on our children, she sure didn't have a problem making the opposite choice though! Hence the last 4-8 months of hell.

So disordered... .

Do you think that if you don;t know who you are, where you came from and where you are going, that it would be easy to make firm decisions?

My example

Me: Tacos tonight, boo?"

Her: Do you want tacos tonight?"

Me: Well, yeah that's why I asked?

Her: Is there anything else besides tacos?

Me: I don't know, but son (8) wants them.  There is turkey meat, and chicken we can make them with (no red meat for her). Tacos?

Her: Do you want me to see if there is anything else in there?

This was a good back and forth for 30 mins.  She would constantly answer questions with a questions.  Drove me up the f in wall.  By the time the conversation would be over and a decision made, the tacos could have been on the table and the family eating.

But tacos started resentments, misunderstanding, and drama, and often chaos.

What a family meal... . on a meaningless night.  Where most families were growing and starting something meaningful... .

I hate her today

The person asking questions is in control. Think what lawyers do in court, all questions. You guys were having a power struggle wrapped in a corn tortilla.
