I'm four weeks NC today!
Been here before, twice! (slow learner). I walked this time instead of her!
What with the holiday season & her attempts at friendly contact instead of usual hate filled bile, it's been the toughest period of NC I've ever been through! Today has been an emotional hell & while I smile at the neighbors I'm on my knees inside.
I'd like to thank all those for reading my woes, offering advice & support, and generally displaying understanding of what this experience does.
I've exhausted my support network among family & friends as they haven't lived it, don't quite get it! They've heard it all before, only for me to fall on my word & go back!
Without the folks of these boards I'd be even worse than I am. So heart felt THANK YOU!

4 weeks is great, man. That's awesome. You did a great job of making it through the holidays.
Keep it going. Just challenge yourself to see how long you can keep doing it. Everyday is progress.

Thank you Santa,
Each Sunday I head for making it NC to the next Sunday... . Forever seems to big a prospect/mountain at the moment, but a week is a manageable mound.
One day I'll casually realize it's been a while since I thought about 'next Sunday'! Whoop Whoop I'm gonna celebrate big time when that day comes!

4 weeks is great Moonie. Mine are on Mondays and tomorrow will be 4 weeks for me, bro.
I am getting stronger, I can feel it. I am no longer obssessing about what position my replacement has her in, yet, I am more focused on me, where I am going in my life, and my son, being the best dad I can be.
I feel the most important thing aafter we make this necessary decision, is to follow up with the
actions
that will make us stronger in the long run.
Stay strong,
Arn

Arn,
Well Done to you on your 4-weeks too my friend. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, and at the same time it's nice to know you're on the same time scale as me.
Good Luck mate, Moonie

Hello my friends
Congrats Arn & Santa
4 weeks is huge guys, keep up the good work.
This weekend was rough. Honestly i wanted to break n/c so bad. (I didnt )
i took my sportbike to key west for the day. i needed it cause you cant think about anything except not going down when you ride down the interstate. It was a nice break from my usual daily thoughts.
I am so grateful for this board and all of you awesome ppl. My bros wife actually has been researching BPD and what we all have been through. She had an idea of what's up. Everyone else had heard enough from me on this subject.
Can't wait til all this is a faded memory. And I can have a healthy r/s. Being alone is not how I wanna spend life. Being alone is just nessisary at the moment. Looking forward to better days!

Way to go, Moonie!
I'm inspired by your strength. That couldn't have been easy to get through with the holidays and stuff. I'm one week in, hoping it gets easier with time... .

Well done Moonie, I am going to use you as my inspiration if that is ok. I broke NC after about 3 weeks! Starting again and determined to follow your example. Santa made the point in other post how it really works and she is right.
Thank you for sharing your success and keep going. I am only four weeks behind you! Lol

Hey Moonie, you can do this! Every time you make it to Sunday, do something really nice for yourself.
I know how hard it is. Have been able to focus on other things besides your ex for more time this week?

Yes I've done more things for me week by week. Had a set back today (that's a story for another thread), but NC remained intact so not a total disaster.
No rules to how the mind deals with NC I'm learning. One day you're up & next day you're down. Then up again.
Another, new kind of roller coaster!
