Really, If I had been through the crap she has been through I would have probably killed myself long ago. Really, she didn't make this horror story up. I know it's true. I've known her 37 years (since she was 11). My baby is a survivor. Sure she has issues, and yeah some of her issues are really hard to deal with, but damn, I wish I was half as strong. How the "F" she made it this far and raised two decent kids (One with CF) I can't even imagine. It's not even like she had all that much support.

Yeah OK, so this drinking relapse after 23 years sober has been tough. We'll get through it somehow. Frankly though I am lucky to have her. She is a wonderful woman and I love her with all my heart

Good and bad days Joe and sometimes the strength of mine you just have to sit back and admire as well.

Glad to see you're a little more settled and you keep strong.

Hi joethemechanic,

The human mind... .

Both things you are feeling are completely true.  The love and admiration for her, and also the sadness and irritation at the BPD.

I actually think it's healthy to remember the good things about our pwBPD even when times are bad- they help us through tough times!
