Fortune Cookie

I got take-out Chinese tonight and this is what the fortune cookie said: "If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older".
SERIOUSLY Universe? Giving me this message in my frickin' food?
((sigh))
It's as true for me as it is for my ex, which is why I'm posting on these boards. Need to do my own inventory and only carry the good parts of my childhood with me. (Some parts were incredibly great!)
Anyway, that was just too weird not to share.

I took my ex out to Chinese food and got a cookie that said "You are headed in the right direction. Trust your instincts."
So instead of trusting my instincts I listened to a cookie. Oops.

heeltoheal.
Just saw the flip side of the message (probably the intended message, except as a non, I read it differently): If you carry your (healthy) childhood with you, you never become older (as in, staying forever young in a good way, being young at heart, etc.)

How 'bout: Maturity is adding adult to the child, not replacing it. Works for me; I jumped in a puddle yesterday... .

Anyway, took the guitar and amp out of the attic. My buddy plays bass. I want to start a steve earle cover band! Moonie, can you be our drummer?
