I just wanted to take a minute and thank the members of this forum. This forum has been a complete eye opener for me.I realized she had BPD by reading online at various sites but the real stories from real people have made a big impression on me.I have learned what makes pwBPD tick and it's interesting how I can now predict her next move.It makes dealing with her that much easier. So thank you everybody for your support and stories. It's been 44 days since I started NC even though she has contacted me about 4 times. She is getting worse with her push and pull but i'm stronger and I can say there is no chance I would ever go back to that.I don't think about her as much and i'm sleeping better than I have in months.I pretty much owe it to bpdfamily.com  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

A very wise man ( Turkish), reminded me that the diagnosis/ label dosent make a difference, its the actions that speak the truth... .

Do you realise your story helps others too almosthadme?

Some other lost and broken soul will read your post and begin to believe that there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel... .

Bpd family is sort of like an electronic pay it foward movement

And I am greatfull too

Almosthadme, thanks for your post!

RecycledNOmore says something that makes total sense: your story is also helping others! is a network and a web of help and support... .

I agree, without this forum, i would have not endured 2+ months of NC so far. So thakn you to people like you who post and share their experience Smiling (click to insert in post)

I never even thought of that and if I can help just one person that would be awesome.

A couple of major things helped me other than reading the stories on here.Reading about mirroring got me.I could think of her looking at me early on just sucking it in.I thought she was interested and she was but only for her benefit. This made me realize the girl I fell for was just make believe and never existed. The other was I never loved her, I loved the woman who did not exist. At the later stages I was worried about losing a hot young model that everybody wanted.I think it became an ego thing and once I realized beauty on the outside is nothing when she has a cold heart I started to see the light.

almosthadme,

Thank you for sharing what has helped you – like the other posters have said, it helps all of us in return.  Smiling (click to insert in post)

heart and whole, what's working now is being passive aggressive when she contacts me.I tell her I miss her and want to see her.She gets all upset and wants an apology which she won't get an apology for her treating me like crap. She then goes away for a bit.Back to NC... . until she needs to validate her feelings
