Need Input on Current Situation Please

Well,
If you have read my previous posts, you know that my dBPDh had a major epison and got much more violent than usual a few days ago - this following a less violent episode last week. The latter has him in an involuntary hold at the local acute care facility.
I went to the county to get an Order of Protection ... . but there is a problem. According to the good people at the courthouse, if i go thru with the Order, I can no longer advocate for a long-term involuntary hold. As it was explained to me, yes, he can no longer contact me but, by the same token, I "can not interfere in his life either."
Because his family is 1800 miles away and he has alienated everyone he has ever met here (including his AA sponsor and his former therapist), a mental health attorney whom I hired has told me that without a strong advocate, he will probably be released in short order. Because I have a meeting with the facility psychiatrist and social worker on Monday morning, at least I know he is held until then.
I am finding this a difficult situation. I can't try to get long term involuntary committment and have a Protection Order but I feel like a sitting duck and pray that they don't do anything stupid like let him out before the Monday meeting.
I went to see my T today but the anxiety hasn't lessened. Gosh, what I would give to just run away!
Ideas? Suggestions? ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated!

Can you have everything ready to file, if you aren't able to get him hospitalized? That might lessen your anxiety, as you will be prepared. Do you have any attorney friends that could help you?

That's a good suggestion. Have the paperwork for the Order of Protection locked and loaded, in case they do let him out.

Sleeps and Missy,
I had thought of that myself - then I thought better ... . I am going back to the courthouse right after my meeting with the psych folk. Then it won't matter what they decide.
Guess my next post will be on the leaving board ... .
Thank you to everyone here on Staying. I wish I had the choice to stay or not but BPD took that choice away.
I just wish I wasn't so sad about it.
