Good morning everyone. In my last post I mentioned that me and my wife were putting up our house for sale on the market. We have had a lot of showings so far in the week that it's been on the market, no sale yet however. This, like anything else, is not without its share of meltdowns. So far there have been two meltdowns: One over one negative feedback from one buyer about a feature our house didn't have (they can't expect the world though for that price). The other one, last night was from the way some prospective buyers and realtors were treating the house during showings.

One of the placecards for a figurine in our bedroom is missing. Each one comes with its own placecard describing the figurine. We looked around the dresser but couldn't find it. Also, it looks like one realtor basically threw our recycling bags down the basement stairs, scattering the recycling all over the floor and not picking it up rather than placing it somewhere nicely and not knocking it over. And lastly, someone may have used our downstairs bathroom as the toilet seat was up when we got back.

Each time, she did the same thing as she usually does with anything else. She freaks out, blames everyone and everything for the problem, then sends angry/panicky emails to the realtor to tell her to cancel the house being on the market. I am mad and I express this to her but she still insists taking matters into her own hands and making all the decisions for us. I am going to talk to our realtor today about it.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

Hi guitarguy09,

it is hard to follow the lead of someone who is changing her mind all the time.

Do you truly want to sell?

I have an update! We sold our house a week and a half ago. It literally was only on the market a week, which is great, and we got our asking price!

Now with all that stress, something bad was bound to happen. She started melting down over my family again yesterday. Threatening divorce because I always bring up "things she did" when she talks about why we don't go to family events besides just seeing my parents. And then she made me call my parents and I left a message saying we were going to get divorced and that I still wanted to go to this upcoming family reunion two states away(UGH!). I am at my wit's end. We are supposed to be buying another house soon and she is threatening divorce!
