CARRESING AS VALIDATION - NOT APPRECIATED ? OR NOT ?

My wife had a 5 month binging spree

She is much better now saying herself that she should stop drinking

The spree was for 5 months ended middle May 2014

We had no sex for this 5 months

and she was sleeping on the couch

She moved back to the room and in our bed 3 weeks ago

I have been caressing her in bed the past two weeks (just slightly rubbing)

and of course - if I move to close to the sweet spot (actually I tested her ... . sorry)

she turns away

My question is the caressing part ?

Should I continue to do that - its validating , yes ?

Even if she is not showing appreciation ?

I wont go to the sweet spot
