Id just like to thank everyone who understood my posts. For the past 2 years I thought I was talking gibberish as every time I opened my mouth the carefully thought out words seemed to be coming across completely different to how I expected them. I daren't open my mouth in case I choked on my foot. After finding out about BPD I now realise that my exgf was twisting everything I said but it is nice to be reassured that I can at times talk sense and that my grasp of the English language isn't so far out of whack that it will result in people gawping at me as if I had just arrived from mars.

Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)  You definitely haven't been talking gibberish, enlighten me. The posts I've read have been thoughtful and articulate and your sense of humour shows through as well. It's great to have this place - until I found it there was no-one I could talk to about my uBPDgf (now xgf) and there certainly wasn't much point in trying to talk to her. I was thinking the other day - the line between witty and smartarse is in the ear of the beholder, but if the beholder has BPD, it's best to just keep your mouth shut.
