I am seeking to understand what this disorder is all about because i think my husband has it and it has damaged our family. We have removed him from the home and are trying to find healing.

Hi THill4564,
Welcome to bpdfamily. I'm glad you found the site -- it can be lifesaving to know how others manage and cope, especially when you are learning about the disorder. How long has he been out of the home? Do you have kids? I hope you're doing ok and are safe. It's not easy to put boundaries in place. Often by the time we do that, it has been years of exhausting behavior and a roller coaster of emotions.
People with BPD have a range of traits. What were some of the things that led you to remove your husband from the home?

It is important to realize that much of your work will be cut out in learning new ways to interact with him. The way you manage the relationship. This means you will have to change. There is no 'quick fix" for a pwBPD, but there is a lot you can do for yourself to minimize the effect it has on you, and to minimize your fueling of it.
