So I've been NC and low contact with my ex for 3 weeks now. Knew I was going to bump into her at Halloween cause we were going to the same club as I'm still good friends with her bff. Met them outside and made small talk with the ex.
Her bff joined my table at some point during the night, my ex came soon after and was drunk. Hugged and kissed me. I just acted civil and let her join us but didnt give her much attention. Next day we texted a little then told her was nice to see her again but back to NC.
Few days later I made a decision to adopt a cat. Msged my ex cause her sister who is a major cat lover (she had 5 cats) was moving to Japan with her fiance. Wanted to buy off cat supplies from her cheap. So started texting, everything civil and good. Unfortunately due to other circumstances, could not adopt the cat. So told the ex thanks for her help and since I wasnt getting a cat anymore had no reason to continue talking to you and back to NC.
She replied "
ok". Feels good though to take back control and not get hooked back and recycled! Just hope can keep things this way, civil and only make contact when I need to.
