My sibling has once again found a way to disappoint and creep me out.

Last week my sibling was ranting about how she knows our mother was abused (not true) this week she's ranting about how she (my sibling) wasn't born the right gender.
And in between she has the nerve to tell me Lincoln was a Republican as though that's something I'm ignorant of when she knows I own multiple books on the man.

Hi ropend,
It never ceases to amaze some of the outlandish things people BPD can say. How do handle such interactions? Do you just nod in agreement, or does a debate ensue? Have you read any of the articles on this site about communicating with a BPD?
Glad you are here. Keep posting!
Peace and blessings.

I only communicate with her by phone and depending on the subject I sometimes can't stomach the madness and sometimes I can.
Haven't read any of those articles... .I really should.
Thanks.

Hi ropend,
I would recommend starting here:
https://bpdfamily.com/portfolio-parent
. There are many other articles which can help you to set boundaries and keep yourself protected when engaging a pwBPD. Is it possible to not answer the phone calls? Just a thought.
Keep us updated!
Peace and blessings.
