My last topic was about codependency and dealing with the hole my ex left in my life... .I think we need to take active steps to look after/treat and value ourselves (I had said how I don't ever buy myself things or think I deserve treats).

Maybe a nice thing to do would be to have a thread whereby we treat ourselves and report to the group that we've done something NOT codependent?

Well, I just bought myself tickets to a top flight football game, not the cheap seats either!

Great topic! I know it is lame but, I have been splurging and buying the expensive brands of food. He was such a penny pincher when it came to grocery shopping and usually made the experience pretty miserable. I like to cook, so it is nice going into the grocery store and purchasing a $4.00 can of imported tomatoes and not get hell for it.

I bought myself tickets to see Fleetwood Mac a few weeks back, took my daughter with me and had a blast!  I also took myself to a B&B a couple months back for the weekend, a get-away for me and my dog Laugh out loud (click to insert in post).

I've been enjoying doing things that my exBPDbf disapproved of, like talking to men, and reconnecting with friends I saw much less of when we were together.  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Oooh, I love Fleetwood Mac! That sounds like an amazing time, Pingo!

I'm spending time with my son without having to divide my attention.

I'm busting my butt in the gym again.

I'm hanging out with another chick at this very moment. Does that count? Hahahaha... .
