I am struggling so bad for my family member I want to waive my little magic wand and make it go all away. But I know I can't!
I am struggling with this family member trying to understand if she truly is BPD or not.
Do BPD people
Make up stories? flat out lies?
Always say they are sick or in pain?
Work full time normally but home life is not good?
Addiction and alcohol use
Always blame the other person or persons it is never their doing they never look in the mirror to see what is going on in their lives to make all these things go wrong for them that they blame everyone else
Those are just a few things that she does and I believe she is BPD. Other family members just think she is lazy and makes excuses and etc. I have drawn boundaries with her and get be involved in the everyday things any more it started to control my life worrying about her all the time. She is a grown adult but still acts like she is a teenager doesn't take control of anything on her own always has to have help with the simplest tasks. She is paranoid and makes up things like her boyfriend has a tracker on her car and that's why it wont start and has blocked her from the computer cause she can't log in and the truth is she was drunk and forgot her password so she makes up that he has blocked her and always says "someone else" says it it is never her... . either her mother said he did it or her step dad says that he has a tracker on the car, ... . I know her parents have not said these things she makes it up in her head and then throws it out there but you can't say that is silly or ridiculous cause she will just scream and yell and says you dont understand etc... .then I have to put up my boundary again cause I can't deal with that nonsense. I just need some help am I just being a B**tch cause I don't understand?
Thanks for letting me vent I hope someone will give me their insight on things they have gone through with their own family members no one in my family thinks she has BPD they all just think she is an ungreatful spoiled brat with mental issues and I feel she has a genuine issue with BPD but she is not seeking help for anything any more she quit her psychiatrist "cause all he wanted was money".
Thanks for any responses I met get.
