was watching a movie and one line one character said was "it's better to be alone for the right reasons than with someone for the wrong reasons".

I think you're right it's a very appropriate statement. And, yes, hopefully it will stick in our minds for the future.
What direction are you wanting to take with your thread tjay? Would you like to break this statement down for the sake of education or would you like others to share quotes that we all hope will stick? (Or something entirely different that I haven't thought of)

It's perfect!…and so is this little plaque a friend gave me right after I came out of the fog of blaming myself and realized I was in a very dangerous situation with a disordered personality hiding criminal behavior and then some:
"It's better to have loved and lost…than to live with a psycho the rest of your life!"
