So @maxsterling made a post about how his pwBPD's constant negative commentary was having a draining effect on his mood and it made me realize how much my pwBPD's negative commentary and even his "humor" sort of drags my mood down--especially as I'm trying to learn how to apply tools like validation, SET, and so on. I talked to my therapist and did some research and even though I'm kind of appalled by how utterly cheesy this is, haha, even just knowing I've committed this space to myself seems to be helping a bit already and SCIENCE backs it up so I thought I'd share this here for anyone else looking for a low-impact activity to help potentially contribute to the maintenance of their own mental equilibriums: Gratitude Journaling.

One to two entries per week (more, apparently, burn you out), have displayed neurochemically verifiable markers for reduced stress, improved symptoms of depression or PTSD (when present), improved social cognition, empathy, and reward processing in as little as two months of practice.  Not too shabby. Smiling (click to insert in post)

Hope this idea maybe helps somebody that could use it. Y'all help me so much. xo

Ah, interesting that you should only make a couple of entries per week.

Thanks for this.
