Has anybody ever read anything about the king father?
Unfortunately my pwBPD reminds me of the king father.
I'm moving on to the witch mother next who I've already identified traits of in my mother so I think that is going to be a difficult chapter.

Are you reading
Understanding the Borderline Mother
(UtBM)? That book was a real eye-opener for me.
I wonder about the king father too, as my mother is a Queen/Witch.
UtBM
doesn't go into as much detail about partners of BPD mothers, although it seemed clear that the fathers also have issues. I'll bet that there's enough to talk about with them that they could warrant their own follow-up book.
If you're reading
UtBM
, I'll warn you that it can be a difficult read. There's great information in it, but pace yourself and take breaks if you need to.

I am and my mother was physically abusive . I just started reading the chapter on the witch mother. I knew this book was going to trigger me which is what I wrote about in my first post on the book. It's an interlibrary loan book and I have a couple more weeks to finish it.
My father is narcissistic however my romantic partner has traits of the king father. I actually called him daddy in the idealization phase of the r/s. I never called my actual father daddy. When I hear women refer to their dad as daddy it hurts as my dad was never daddy.
