So... .Over a year since I was emotionally & mentally destroyed by my ex, she was busy on/off with her new man whilst I was trying to put my life back together in a year of depression & dark dark days.

Anyway I now feel I'm well & truly out of the other side of it all now & I'm feeling ok again.

Now as for the ex, she is now split (again) with my replacement & I feel she is trying to drag me in to a bit of drama by using my daughter.

It seems my replacement was filling the drama void she needs but now he is off the scene it feels like she is turning to me again for her fix.

What I can say is I will not be drawn in to anything, it's much much easier to deal with when you are not emotionally wrapped up in a toxic relationship, I never thought I'd be able to think straight again but now I feel I have the self respect to be able to handle this.

There is light at the end of what seems like a very long tunnel for everyone of us, it just sometimes takes a long time to get there.

Good luck everyone!

reachingoutuk,

You sound like you've come a long way, congratulations!  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)  I think you are wise to remember that your ex has no power over you when you are truly detached. You are finished with the drama and are living your life the way that is best for you and your daughter.

Thanks for the update. Stay strong and keep us posted.
