A phone call from my brother triggered me

For me I don't come here to vent I come here to find out why things affect me the way they do. The way I solved the problem is moved up the time my phone goes into do not disturb mode from 9pm to 8:30pm.

My brother doesn't want to see a therapist or get into a program of recovery so its up to me to have good boundaries with him.   I know a phone call from my brother is going to trigger me. There's nothing I can do to change that right now. He and I are plaintiffs in a probate case together so I can't avoid him however I can control when I talk to him. Also we don't have a bad relationship however I'm not willing to take care of him anymore. My mother made it my job to take care of him. I don't know if you are reading my other thread or not but my mother also made it my job to take care of my ex. I don't want to take care of people anymore, I want to take care of me, and my daughter, those are the two people I am responsible for.
