Pattern emerging around vacation time

In light of the recent indirect contact I had with my former friend wBPD on Facebook, I have realized there is a pattern emerging to the behavior.  There is usually some sort of odd 'reaching out' contact to me (indirectly) a day or so prior to her going on vacation or whilst she is on leave from work if she has not gone away.

Due to me being curious by nature and lover of puzzles, I am trying to put together a possible reason for this timing as it's like clockwork.  Fully understand there is no way of ever understanding a pwBPD's motives, however would be thankful to hear your thoughts.
