I just found out my ex gfwBPD moved over 1300 miles away to be with her new boyfriend Laugh out loud (click to insert in post), do people with BPD do this often? I can imagine the dysfunction in her new relationship could begin anytime now as they've been long distance for 6 months.

I feel kinda relieved that she moved away so I know I won't bump into her around town anymore

the funny thing is the only thing that ended our relationship was that I got way too close to her for her own comfort, and she admitted she was pushing me away so I don't see her being with him forever

another thing that seems off to me is she's putting an awful lot of trust in him for having such abandonment issues and the fact that she's so far away would probably make it 10x worse

I guess the question is do people with BPD usually move away from home?

My ex had only been with me for ONE MONTH and wanted to change colleges so we would be closer. So yes I think it's personal opinion but think so.

In the eye for an eye game, he who cares least, wins. I, for one. am never stepping into the ring with someone who is impulsive and doesn't think of the downstream consequences.

Hi reincarnate

I don't think that there's a generic answer to this question, but in the case of my ex she dated a number of men significantly far from the area where she lived. When I told her that I thought this was strange given she had 2 kids, she replied that she wasn't going to let a geographical boundary restrict her search for Mr Right!

Add in a pwBPD's natural penchant for impulsivity and I'm sure that there are a significant proportion of borderlines who've upped sticks in pursuit of 'love'.
