She is sticking with her story- Mafia

She is sticking with her story- which sounds surreal - but maybe true. Been limited contact. Now she claims that the Mafia and pimps want money from her. Calling me a story that she has until July first to pay back the Mafia money she made as prostitute or go back to that life. This is the craziest story I have ever heard. She swears up and down and on her son that this is true. She dragged me back in asking for advice on hiding her assets. She says how much she loves me and wants me back. Anyone with half a brain would know this is a bs story to draw me back in. However I can't get out of my head that there may be a level of truth. Thoughts and advice appreciated . Thanks

I have heard of people using the mafia as their story before… One person told me he was in the mafia and killed people. I asked him "I thought you weren't supposed to talk about it?" I don't suppose you want to meet up with them? She may know this. Is this the first time you have heard of this story? Is she taking drugs? Sometimes people think groups are after them in this case... .Maybe you should convince her to turn them in... .or maybe you could tell her you want no part of that!

I am not sure if I wanna suggest to slowly back away... .or run away really really fast. But those would be two options I suggest here.

I have moved out of state and ended the relationship. But she continues to call me with these stories of peril. And I am seeking therapy to deal with codependency an c-ptsd. But thoughts of her stories entertaining my head often.

There are certain groups that are frequently featured in paranoid delusions:
-The Russians/Communists
-Black People
-The government/CIA/FBI
-The Mafia
-The Illuminati
-The Free Masons
-Extraterrestrials
Is this woman competent? Is she worthy of trust? This is a story that is outrageous, but not completely beyond the realm of possibility. In other words, she's not claiming something as absurd as alien abduction. I'd be very cautious of this. Assuming that it's a paranoid delusion, she could be physically dangerous.

Different versions? So that means there must inconsistencies. Inconsistencies mean:
-Exaggerations
-Partitial-truths
-Distortions
-Lies
The truth doesn't change. It's consistent.

My exgf said she had a uncle who was an under cover policeman and he would even park in my apartment lot to spy on me and make sure I wasn't up to no good.
One day I did see a black suv with strangers in it, for a second I thought hmmm noo way. The wildest things I could imagine didn't come close to her crazy thinking.
